Happy New Year to all!
I hope this year brings you even more happiness and joy than the last.
2012 is here and there is no debating it! (It takes me a month to write the date right. Always has and always will.)
If you haven’t already, take 30 minutes one day this week and write down what you were grateful for last year. Focus on the positive.
Next, make a list of things you would like to see happen in 2012. This is a different kind of list. Nothing is too silly to write down. Goals on this list should be primarily emotional, mental, personal growth, and/or spiritual goals. This kind of goal setting is not like your financial goals or career goals, this list is how YOU as a person would like to see improvement in the quality of life. Keep an open mind, and know that you can achieve these goals one step at a time.
Next: Make another list of everyday things you would like to accomplish in 2012. This list should include things such as professional goals, parenting goals, relationship goals, volunteering goals, and so on.
Keep these lists private to you. These are personal goals.
Monthly or bi-monthly you should pull these goals out and review where you are, and what you need to do to achieve them.
I hope this exercise helps you to fine tune and focus yourself for 2012.
Keep focused on improving the quality of your life on a daily basis.
Keep checking in on MJade Media for more writing techniques and exercises that will help improve your life.
Now, go out and make it a great year!
