Butterflies in my eyes

Playful and free

Fluttering through blue skies

Bringing you to me

They play, they dance, give hope a chance

They float, they settle, such beauty they resemble

Like children without fear they see the world

Not from a television, couch or a lens

But upon their will their fate depends

Fresh-air is the only breath to take

One life together, on God’s green-earth we make

Come and play by my side

Fear nothing, hope for everything, but do not forget we are but children at play

Don’t forget your smile

Don’t forget your laugh

Never get consumed in a moment’s frustration

Certain not to last.
